Lawns - Grass growth

Question
I have a few small patches of very dark green and extremely fast growing grass areas. The rest of my lawn looks great, but these odd patches make it very unattractive. Any suggestions?

Answer
I really don't know what to tell you Jason.
Are they weeds or what? Just a different type of grass? Try and find out why those areas grow faster, greener, and do that to your whole yard!does that area get more water? When I started fixing my yard and was watering it regularly I noticed the same thing in some spots. What I found after some detective work was that the grass was growing in a little depression there and it was holding the water from the rest of the area around it that was running into there. I put some dirt in there ,only a little 2-3" at a time and everytime I mowed I put some clippings there to decompose, and eventually it leveled out. There are still spots that I am working on this way and it has been working great. Slow but effective.
