Lawns - SOD grass treatment

Expert: Ronald B Persaud - 10/1/2009

Question
I just had sod grass planted about 2 months ago and I accidently sprayed in with WEED AND GRASS KILLER!! I thought it was Weed and Feed! My grass of course is dying and was wondering if I am screwed or can I save my lawn??

Answer
The severity of the damage is directly related to how well the spray job was done. I am not making a comment upon the spray job when I say that I expect that the results will be patchy. This is an observation on a lot of spray activity. Watch the lawn carefully. Some sections will brown out and die more quickly than others. They were hardest hit and you might get away with resodding only in these areas. If I do not sound very confident it is because I am not.
