Lawns/Grass or Sod for Beach

Question
I have a small area to manage at the beach.  I am looking for a grass/sod that
will do well in sun but very resistant to weeds.  Weed growth at the beach is
the toughest to manage since we do not live there year round.  Can you
reccomend a type of grass that would be somewhat resistant to weed growth?

thanks

Answer
A weed free lawn is going to be very difficult in your circumstances because regular maintenance is a requirement and you are not present there year round. Secondly, weed seeds are brought in by wind, birds and similar small animals (squirrels}. The emerging weeds will need to be controlled at a very young (three leaf) stage.
Again, you are not present for these occasions.
