Question
what is it that has made tunnel in lawn? Found 2 last year and 1 has just been made in last few days. The opening is no wider than an inch and i can push a stick in to 8inches. There are no piles of soil from excavation. The tunnel curves as it goes along but it's vertical depth is only a couple of inches. Any ideas what it is that is making them? thanks for your time.

I am sorry that I know very little about horticulture in the UK but I have made a note to learn about it. I don't think that you will thank me for guessing so I am going to refer you to your local library where you will find good help in resolving this mystery.
