Hi! I read a story today in which Duff McKagan(bassist for Velvet Revolver, ex Gn'R) claims that Velvet Revolver has tour support slots on a supposed future tour with Led Zeppelin. Are there any new details to support this?

Duff is very optimistic, isn’t he?  No, this is not true but if Zeppelin tours in any way, and IF (a big IF) they have a supporting act at all - I wouldn't be surprised at Velvet Revolver but I think it would probably someone more obscure. An overseas Moroccan ensemble from Robert Plant's suggestion box I'm thinking.  Or perhaps his son's band that seems to be gathering a following in the UK, and whom Robert expressed much pride in England's UNCUT magazine cover article from November 07.  But to date - no tour much less any support billing has even been set up or talked about.  

They (Page, Plant, Jonesy) may meet towards summer's end around August or Sept to TALK about a few more special engagements - but no world tour; at least not like 40 years ago that's for certain.
