Question
Hi, did John Paul Jones play any Bass solos during his carrer with Led Zep?

Answer
Hi
Yes he did.  There were some spirited bass solos during some of the rare performancees of "Good Times Bad Times" in 1970.  To be specific, they were embedded within the "Whole Lotta Love" medleys of the era, and I believe there was a pretty nice one during their September 4, 1970 show at the L.A. Forum.

He also played some impromptu solos, with an upright bass he had purchased in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne back in 1969.  These showed up during various performances of "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" during the 1977 tour.
