Question i HAVE A POSTER (ORIGINAL) promoting the last Europe tour it is orange in color very vibrant with a dark colored man with a hat on i am told that this tour had many cancelled dates and the following us leg was cancelled due to the death of bonzo i guess that this was in 1980 can you tell me anything about the poster it is pristine and never been hung
Answer Yes, the classic image from "Tour Over Europe" involved the World War I man with the soldier's hat, looking up, presumably as the zeppelins above were poised to drop their bombs. A brilliant image and one of my favorites from the band's campaigns.
As for the veracity of the poster itself - I'll assume you're right in that it's an original. The most prominent color, has varied from various printings, and some have been dark orange, and the rest deep red. Sounds like your copy is legitimate, and there isn't much else I can tell you, other than that true original posters of that type generally have been sold for around 170 dollars on the auction market.
PS - Check for printing company markings at the bottom for further verification, and also get it framed and mounted.
