Question
I heard for the first time the other day that Led Zeppelin was a lip sync band, in other words, the four of them were just actors on stage and that the real music was written and perfomed by four totally different people. I can't see how this could be. Do you know anything about this?

Hey Russell,
Complete nonsense. You would think that after 40 years that someone would have noticed and the band would have been discredited long long ago.
Please use common sense and don't listen to that kind of bullshit, pardon my language, but B.S. it is. Whoever says those things is ignorant if they believe it at all. But it's hard to believe that anyone can be that dense, so chances are you may have been the victim of a very bad practical joke. Don't believe it. Zeppelin were actually one of the last great bands that actually DID play their own instruments and actually DID sing without the need to lip-synch as most of today's disposable Pop. You know, the throw-away, no talent computerized, corporate-made dance teeny bop band and so-called artists of today.
I really wasn't going to answer this question, as the notion of Zep being anything other than genuine artists is ridiculous. Just remember that. They started in 1968 and their music is still ahead of its time and always will be at the very least, timeless.
