About Chris M. Zangara
Expertise
I`m not only a Zeppelin collector but I have been collecting Zeppelin - and Page/Plant music & information for over 20 years. I am truly a lover of Page/Plant music in & out of Zeppelin simply because of the honesty & integrity of it all. - I have been studying them for as long as I have been listening to Rock/Blues Music. I look forward to any question and will answer the very best I can - as above all - I am just a fan like you!

Led Zeppelin - Bootleg Led Zeppelin album

Expert: Chris M. Zangara - 10/19/2009

Question
Hi Chris...My brother received an album that seems to be sealed in plastic. On the album itself is a picture of Plant and Page. It reads " Listen to this, Eddie  Part One." June 21, 1977 At the Los Angeles Forum. It also lists some songs, not sure which ones. But at the bottom it says, RSR 202 AB Number 119 of 375. What can you tell me about this album and any value. Thanks Randy

Answer
Hi Randy,

Listen To This Eddie is the most well known of all the thousands of Zeppelin bootlegs out there and quite arguably the best-ever Led Zeppelin concert!  It's a standard for many fans to include a copy of Listen To The Eddie right alongside of Zeppelins studio work just as you would a commercially released album, although it is indeed an audience recorded bootleg.  It captures all the hysteria of a true Zep show with great sound from the crowd as well as amazing sound from the group on stage. It usually comes in 3 parts.  If you have a vinyl copy of this, it could be worth something but I don't know how much.

Try to contact Hiddengrok.com.  See if he can help.  His name is Chris as well.

Hope this helps!

Chris Z.
