Led Zeppelin/CODA album

Question
If led zep's CODA album came out in 1982, did they produce it without John Bonham or just release it late? And if without him, who did they substitute him with? I'm pretty sure Jason Bonham wasn't good enough at that time, or old enough.

Answer
Hi Ali,

CODA is a collection of songs spanning the bands career from 1969 until 1979.  The songs were put together and released by Jimmy Page in 1982.  The songs are all full-band Zeppelin with John Bonham on drums.  If you read the inner sleeve, the songs should have dates next to them of when they were recorded.

Hope this helped!

Expertise

I`m not only a Zeppelin fanatic, but I have been collecting Zeppelin - including Jimmy Page and Robert Plant solo music & information - for over 27 years. I am truly a lover of Page/Plant music in & out of Zeppelin simply because of the honesty & integrity of it all. - I have been studying them for as long as I have been listening to Rock/Blues Music. Their interpretation of the blues is unlike any other. I look forward to any question and will answer the very best I can - as above all - I am just a fan like you! (Please understand my interest is in the music and people of REAL life; NOT in rumor or fantasy).
