Question Alright here's a tough one...I've got two differentoriginal vinyl records of physical graffiti. at the end of in my time of dying, only one of the records has the cough followed bonham's exclamations.
I'm wondering why some pressings may have had it and some not?
Thanks in advance.
Answer I was always told that the earliest vinyl pressings of the album did not include the studio dialogue after Plant sang "Cough...". I never had an original pressing, so I couldn't verify it myself. The mistake was soon corrected with the next pressings, giving us the version we hear today. So, in theory, the shorter version is the rarer and older one. There are ways to identify such early pressings, such as by checking the matrix information scratched into the run-off area of the album.
