Question My Dad has the original Physical Graffiti Led Zeplin album with with the labels reversed on the first record. It is opened but still in the cellophane and in NM condition. Have you ever heard of this? How much would it be worth. Thanks.
Answer Hi
Yes, that was a production error in early pressings of the album that caused the label printing error that you mentioned. While ultimately corrected, that label error is good proof that you have an early pressing. They don't come up for sale too often out there, but I'd estimate that it could get $100-$125 if put out there for a collector to get. It would obviously be worth more if it were in true mint condition or sealed, but then again, if it's sealed, nobody could see what the labels looked like. Nice find though!
