Question
do both parents have to be us citizens for one to be able to be president regardless of where one is born?

Answer
Hello,

No, one need only be born a US citizen. Neither parent needs to be a citizen if the person is born in the US. If born abroad, only one parent needs to be a citizen in order for the child to be a citizen at birth.
