Question Hello, how are you today? I hope you're well. I have a question I would like to ask, obviously. I am a lesbian looking to date, but am having trouble. I don't have the vaguest idea where to look, or how to ask someone of the same sex out. I've tried those internet dating things, and they're a rip off, since you can make a "free" profile, but you can't send an e-mail or contact anyone. I'm desperate in a sense. I'm not "out and open", and my family would disown me if they found out as they are anti-gay and lesbian. I don't know where to meet anyone, I'm not into the clubs and bars. I live in Cincinnati, a fairly anti-gay/lesbian city. I have very few friends, and am lonely. So the bottom line is WHERE DO I FIND SINGLE FEMALES, AND HOW DO I ASK THEM OUT? Also, a very dumb question is how am I supposed to tell if they're a lesbian? I don't want to offend anyone, and I most certainly don't want to be offended or have my feelings hurt. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Answer First off, let me tell you that cincinnati just made my list of "most hated things" no disrespect to your parents or anything but allot of people are biggots.
Anyhow culubs and bars may be your best bet as of now. There is no easy way to find out who's gay and who's not, but if you would like to try more internet services there are a few non-profit internet communities that can help you out. The only hard part is looking around and finding someone. I suggest MySpace as this is one of the most succesfull internet communities that exist today. Try it out at MySpace.com If you've had previous encouters with MySpace and hate it just as much as I do, then google some other internet communities. I hope this helps out and don't give up. The most extreme thing you can do is move to San Francisco or something like that, but I'm not sure of your traveling status. I am a supporter of the Gay/Lesbian community so I wish you the best of luck. If you have any other questions I'll be glad to answer them.
