Question
Hi Brandon,
When the car is in Drive, window close, radio off and with the foot on the brakes at stand still, I hear a quite loud humming noise.  When I shift to N, then the noise goes down to normal.  I've checked the idle and it's normal.  I brought the car to Lexus and they said that it might be the engine mount and that it will cost $800 to fix.  They show me that when the car is tilled, they used a hydr jack and lifted the front end up and down.  When it was lifted to a little, the noise goes away and when higher or lowered, the noise comes back.  Are they right on this issue and is the $800 price fair?  Thanks Frankie

Answer
Sonds like it some of the mounts to me. Depends on how many they want to change.

Go to a Toyota dealer. RX3xx = Toyota Highlander that's been up-trimmed to the nth level. Comes of the same assembly line in Canada & uses 100% of the parts.

Probably save you atleast $30/h in labor.
