Question CAR RUNS WELL. SOMETIME WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF, IT WILL NOT RESTART. IT SPINS BUT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE IT IS GETTING GAS. I CAN ONLY GET IT TO START AGAIN BY DISCONECTING THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE, WAITING A COUPLE OF MINUTES THEN RECONNECT IT. . WHAT COULD BE CAUSE OF THIS ? FUEL PUMP OR COMPUTER
Answer MOST LIKELY NEITHER. TOYOTA COMPUTERS DO NOT FAIL... EVER... (UNLESS YOU OWN A PRIUS, BUT THAT'S A RE-CALL LoL!)
Check the fuel pressure @ the fuel rail 5 minutes after you stop the engine. It should maintain 25psi.
Check that the computer is pick-ing up the NE+ (crankshaft position sensor) & G1 G2 (Camshaft position sensors) sensors so it knows what's going on.
Scan the thing to see if it has stored any codes in the past that have been put in memory.
