I got this article from a library in Massachusetts in 1994. I forgot to photocopy the front cover of the magazine. I'm now in Sydney, Australia, where library holdings of old magazines is sparse. Your unexpected help is deeply appreciated.

-----Question-----
Hello Robert,
Perhaps a question out of your scope, but if you could help, that will be great. I have a photocopied article from Popular Mechanics. Unfortunately I didn't write down the month/year of publication. I now want to include that as a reference (I'm publishing the information). Is there a library service or magazine article database that I could consult? Nothing seems to be coming up on the internet, not even popular mechanics website.
Thanks.
Regards,
Usuff

Give me the title of the article, and I will try to retrieve the citation for you.
Answer I have tried my best to get the citation for you. However, the electronic periodical indexes do not go back that far. My only suggestion is to go on the Popular Mechanics website. Go on the link for "covers", and begin to look at the covers of the years where you think the article appeared. You may find it listed on the front cover of one of the issues.
