Subject: life insurance for international person ...
Question Hello Mr. Bowman,
I am wondering if you knew of any companies that offered life insurance to international persons (outside of the US) with a pre-existing condition?
Answer Most countries have resident life insurance companies that offer policies protecting you if you live permanently outside the U.S. If you obtained your policy while in the U.S. it should be payable wherever you go. Some companies offer U.S. citizens who travel abroad coverage, depending on the mode of travel, length of time expected to be spent outside the U.S., and where exactly your travel customarily takes you.
Pre-existing conditions are usually covered if disclosed on the application. The presumption is that if you disclosed the condition and the company accepted you that a death claim will be payable, even if resulting from the condition disclosed. If you misrepresent any relevant condition, the policy could be voided.
Hope this gets you what you were looking for.
