Question My husband recently lost his job and we have elected to continue our medical insurance through COBRA. We recently had a baby with a medical condition that may qualify our whole family for Medicaid. Would we still be eligible for COBRA if we ended up getting the Medicaid?
Answer You would lose COBRA once on Medicaid. The question is why would you want both? If you get on Medicaid it may be possible to buy a supplement plan for those under the age of 65. This will depend on the state you live in, the disability, etc.
I await your response.
Thank you.
