Answer
Hello Mansoor:

Young males such as yourself are the least expensive to insure. The cost of health insurance for you will be much lower than for most people. Prices will range from $30-$300 a month depending on the type of coverage. I suggest an HSA, (health savings account,) plan for you with a high deductible. This should cost you about $50 a month. Make sure the policy includes coverage for your annual physical without having to meet a deductible first, or at least a lower deductible than for other services.
The easiest way for you to purchase health insurance will be to find a broker that lives in your state. They will explain everything to you and the costs involved. The Blue Cross Blue Shield company in your state is a great company to deal with in my opinion. Simply look them up on the Internet and give them a call.
There is no need for you to have a low deductible, (what you must pay first before the insurance company starts paying.) The lower the deductible the higher the cost to you. By purchasing a high deductible plan such as myself you will keep your monthly premium lower, yet still protect you against a very large medical bill. I have an HSA plan with a $5500 deductible. The whole idea here is to protect you from starting out your life here in the USA with a huge medical bill if you become sick or injured, and not to insure every little condition that may occur.

Hope this helps,

Mike Higgins
