Question I am the beneficiary of a Prudential life policy on my deceased mother that passed in 1964. The proceeds of the matured policy was turned over to the state of Florida unclaimed property in 1994. I do not have the policy number in order to claim the proceeds. Where can I find?
Answer Dear James,
Forty-five years is a long time to hold information. However, if you have your mother's Social Security number either the State or Prudential may be able to help you. If you do not have her SS number, you should be able to get it from her Death Certificate.
