Question QUESTION: My father passed away, I found his group life insurance information that names me beneficiary, my father signed this form in 1991. The insurance company is stating that there is no beneficiary listed. Do I have a leg to stand on?

So the documents you have conflict with what the insurer is telling you...
If you have no reason to doubt the document you have, I would be tempted to speak to an attorney and ask them to officially write to the insurer stating your claim. At this point, you attach a copy of the documents you have and await their official reply.
They may change their mind at this point. However if they do not, you will need to speak to the attorney as to whether you chase the sums concerned or not.
Additionally, if this is part of a group policy, it might be worth verifying the authenticity with the group (probably a previous employer), they may be able to shed some more light on it...
It is possible that your father came off the group policy before parting company, in which case there would be no clam to make. If you can determine whether he was on cover at the time of his demise, it makes it quite clean cut...

QUESTION: Thanks Paul, I did fax them the document that I have, and they are going to fax me claim forms and told me to send a copy of the death certificate, so with that, I am hoping that they are just accepting me as beneficiary. Would you agree with that? Thanks again!

Difficult to know, but it does sound a bit more hopeful, and at least they have not turned you down as they did previously. These things can take a bit of time as the insurer will need to verify the details you have sent them.
