when my dad past away 9 yrs ago my mother claimed his life insurance & they were separated do i receive anything as his only child ?

Im afraid Im not the best person to ask regarding this,m it is less and insurance question and more a legal position.

You may well have some claim to the policy, however you will need to enlist an attorney who can give you a definitive answer to this.
