My wife and I bought Globe Life Young American plans for both our kids in the early 80s. We were told the kids could cash in their policies when they turned 25, and were led to believe they would get $5,000 at that time. When my son turned 25, we contacted Globe Life, and were told that he couldn't actually cash in the policy until he was 26. Now that he's 26, they tell us there is no cash value at this point. Needless to say, we are all disappointed. Don't waste your money on this scam.
