In addition to a law degree, I have a doctorate of philosophy in comparative ethics involving medicine, law and business. I also am an Adjunct Professor at a medical school.

Question I have a friend who's adult child was put on life support a few days ago. She has been estranged from her husband for 20 years and the hospital has him a legal quardian. He is wanting to pull the plug this Friday on life support. Her mother does not want this to happen. What options does she have to stop it?

Her mother needs to speak to an attorney immediately to determine her rights. She can also contact the medical provider to let them know her view of the withdrawal of life support.
