Question Hello,
My Father of 86 has recently decidied to be a part of a "Home Hospice" program. He has been on this program about three weeks. They can took most of his pills, left an oxygen machine, patted him on the back, and we have never seen them again.
We have tried to call them many times for some additional covered needs only to get the run around. Nobody, seems to know anything, or even remotely care. We have still never seen another person, neither an RN, LPN or even a CNA.
I was curious if anybody knows who regulates this type of program? Somebody I could call to perhaps light a fire under them. Any help would be greatly appreciated-Skyler
Answer Skyler,
I suggest you contact your state's department of health services and/or adult protective services.
I also suggest you find another hospice organization in your area. They are highly competitive and most provide excellent care. It sounds as if this particular hospice organization is less than ideal.
