Question After filling up my 01 cougar and starting the car the gas gauge still reads the same. after driving for a while it will start to move but takes about 1/2 hour to reach full mark. and if you turn off the car car a few times it will read correctly. the gauge only acts up after fill up any thoughts?
Answer Hi Travis,
I know it's cold out there, but you are supposed to shut of your car when you are refueling. When you restart, it resets the computer. You have nothing to worry about, this is how it is on all Ford products. My Lincoln does the same thing.
