Lincoln/Mercury Repair/1991 Lincoln town car won't start

Question
I left my husband and kids in the car to run into the store. Came out and turned the car off, used remote to open the trunk. Put the keys back in and now it won't start. The lights work, radio works, tried to jump it, but nothing is working. Help!

Answer
Hi Emily,

Check to see the the anti-theft is off by opening the car with the key from the driver door. If no avail try locking and unlocking the car with the remote. If you still can't get it started, try it in neutral, if no luck there, try slowly moving the gear selector from park to low while holding the key in the start position. If that doesn't work, you will likely need a new starter.
