Topic: Lincoln/Mercury Repair

Subject: 2000 Lincoln Navigator driver side climate controlled seat not working.

Question
Is there a common problem associated with the climate controlled seats in the 2000 Lincoln Navigator. My driver side seat has no visable light on the numbered seat switch, like the passenger side. When I turn the vehicle ON, the numbered switch on the driver side seat lights for @ 5 seconds, then goes OFF, once the chime from ignition ends. The passenger seat cools and heats fine. The previous owner never had any known issues. It seems like the ccs are not getting power from the ignition shortly after starting? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin.

Answer
Hi Kev,

I have had my drive seat fixed 3 times and is being repair as we speak for the fourth. Passenger side I had repaired once and it is out now also. I love my Navie, but the seat accessories are junk. I too, have a 2000. If you can bear with me for about a week, I will know why these are not working and will be able to follow up with you about yours first hand instead of guessing. Fair enough?
