Question
where was Penelope born?

Answer
Hello,

In Homer's Odyssey  Penelope was  the daughter of Icarius of Sparta and a first cousin of Helen of Troy, since her father Icarius was brother of Tyndareus, Spartan king, father of Helen.

So, Penelope as a daughter of Icarius of Sparta was born just in Sparta, also named Lacedaemon, a city-state of ancient Greece in the southeast Peloponnesus.

Best regards,
Maria
