AboutGarrett Z Expertise As an instructor of literature and the humanities, my experience is as broad as the experience I have gained in the classroom. As a published author and journalist, I have first hand industry experience. Between the two, I have the experience, knowledge, and research experience that could certainly answer any questions that may be asked of me.
Experience Quite specifically, as an instructor I am an extremely well qualified candidate as an initial resource as well as a person who knows specifically where to gather the correct information at any given time. As a published journalist and novelist, my experience broadens into the fundimental understanding of the craft and its application and business. I was also previously an AllExperts expert several years ago, and was well received by all who I helped.

Question What exactly is the difference between Modern and Post modern Literature?
Is parody of history part of it? What about the latest trend of double twist in the ending? Is this part of post-,pdern as well?
Thanks.

Answer Annabelle
To clarify, I would not say that history parody is necessarily postmodernism unless it really challenges the idea of the original event or of history in general... I suppose it could, but I would need more information of the specific example. In terms of a plot twist, I would also say no, unless the plot twist really changes the standard and accepted format of a book or a plot. For instance, a double twist would not usually indicate postmodernism, but, if the plot's apex is at the beginning of the book (such as in You Shall Know Our Velocity), you are looking at an example of postmodernism because it is challenging what society deems as a standard plot - beginning > middle > apex > end. Think of it this way - What do you think is a normal, expected format to a story, work of art, building, song, movie, etc? Then, if the artist completes something that is entirely different and makes you surprised at how very nontraditional the work is, chances are that you are experiencing something that is postmodern.
Like I said in my last question, if you need further explanation or help, do not hesitate to respond to my answer in your question and I will help further.
