Literature - Hamlet

Expert: John Baranyai - 9/29/2009

Question
Why is Hamlet not justified in his revenge? Two reasons please.

Answer
Hi Noemi ( I think that is a very nice name!)

Here are a few reasons-

1.He is not in a position to carry out this judgement.

2. His thinking is impaired.

3. Revenge is best left to God.

4. Kiiing is wrong no matter how it is justified.

5. His enemies do not deserve to die.

6. His motives are selfish ones.

7.He has brought this Fate upon himself and should take personal responsibity for this.

Best wishes and could you please rate my answer?

John
