Question
What is the connection between Hamlet Hamlet Shakespeare and Historia danica (Saxo Grammaticus) ?

Answer
Hi Noam,

Yeah, Shakespeare's Hamlet is loosely based on Saxo's legend about the Danish prince. You can read about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sources_of_Hamlet

And there is also a movie version of the original Hamlet legend (as it is in Saxo, from before Shakespeare's version), called "Prince of Jutland":

Hope this answers your question!
