Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me the "time line" of Little House. Melissa Gilbert said that she was 19 when the show ended. I wanted to know how old that would have made "Laura" when the show ended and what year "The Final Farewell" would have taken place?

Math is not one of my strong suits but I will try and make the best guess I can on this one.
Laura was 18 years old when she married Almanzo in 1885, which would make season seven through nine occur after then. The show "Laura Ingalls Wilder" in season 7 would have ended on August 15, 1885 to be exact. Unfortunately, the writers for Little House, the show, never kept to the timeline in Laura's books.
According to the show, season 8 happened before Laura and Almanzo were married for a year. Rose, who was born during season 8 on the show, was actually born in December of 1886, after their first anniversary. Season nine, where Laura had the baby boy who died, should have happened in 1889, when Rose was three, but Rose was still an infant in the show.
The "Final Farewell" would have probably occurred in the year 1890, but again, because of the timeline variations, its hard to say exactly. Laura would have been 25 in 1890.
