something to try with your teen is after they have gotten to the point of stopping the cutting you can give them a red pen and or red sharpie marker and that wehn they feel like cutting to mark their bodies where they would orginally cut themselves. this allows them still see the red coloring which in turn is like blood but do so so without doing the actual cutting on themselves.
