Locksmithing - Remington HHL combo info

Question QUESTION: Andy
I picked up a Remington Co./hamilton OH / Division of Herring-Hall-Marvin wall safe at a local flea market.
12.5" wide X 13.25" tall X 9.5" deep with mounting flanges set back 3-4" from the front face.
The dial lock is marked S&G and is 0-50. There is a pull knob that I am assuming acts as a release when the correct combo is entered.
Any info on the needed sequence and total #'s in the combination???
Also..would there be any factory preset combo's that they were sent out with to try??
There is a set of vertical #'s on the front by the top hinge...
52 [or poss. 57] with the bottom leg of the 2 extended[lengthened]

"locked out and curious" in AZ
wes
ANSWER: Wes,
I'm kind of curious also because Remington was never a division of Herring-Hall-Marvin. I would be interested in seeing what you have.
Please send me photos of the safe, the dial, handle, hinges and all tags or labels so that I can Identify what you have. This will also help in answering your questions.
The vertical numbers on the top hinge are probably the serial number of the safe.
Send the pics to me at: Andy@securitysafeusa.com

QUESTION: Thanks Andy
I'll get some pics out to you as soon as I get back from a deer hunt next week...kind of busy getting ready to leave at present.
The Remington label is what intrigued me also.
thx
wes
Answer Wes,
Now that hurts - one of my hunting partners is really on me, because I haven't had the time to come up for a couple of years now. I've already got it on the schedule for next year though!
Good luck!
Remember to send me the pics when you return.
Andy
