Question Hi, I have a Fort Knox Defender Series Gun Safe, model 6037. This safe uses the S&G Series II lock. I have the combo and have been looking for a change key. Do you know which model key and where I could order one?
thanks.
Lou
Answer Lou,
I have them. The key and instructions are $25 plus $5 shipping & handling. Before I can ship them though, we have a "holdharmless form" that you need to read & sign.
We have no control over your use, or missuse of tool, or interpretation, or misinterpretation of the instructions. About 10% of my business is following behind, supposedly trained locksmiths repairing, or opening locked safes because they didn't understand the operation of a safe lock.
The instructions are fairly basic but if you make any one of about 50 different errors, it can and probably will result in a locked up safe, which can result in an expensive open and repair bill!
As long as you understand that you assume all responsibility for using the tool correctly and interpreting the instructions correctly, I don't have a problem with you having the tool or the instructions.
Note: combination changes by anyone other than a trained locksmith or safe technician may void any warranties on your safe and lock.
If I haven't scared you off by now, send me your email address or a fax number. I'll send you the "holdharmless form" to read and sign. Once I have it back, with a credit card number for billing, I will send you the change key. If I mail it instead of UPS, then I will not charge you for postage, but I have no guarantee of delivery. (with UPS we have tracking & a signature of receipt).
