Locksmithing/medeco lock

Question
I have a medeco deadbolt lock that is about 20 years old which I would like to replace, the outside casing or the lock keeps spinning and I can't figure out how to remove it because I don't see any screws. Please advise

Answer
Hello Bob,

If you have a double cylinder version, meaning the key operates either side, then the inside trim plate around the key hole will come off.  Beneath that are the screws.

If you have a single cylinder version there should be a set screw on the thumbturn.  Loosen or remove that to remove the thumbturn trim then find the screws under that.
