Locksmithing/how to remove deadbolt lock from door

Question
i have a kwikset titan deadbolt that i would like to replace.  it opens with a latch
(i guess you'd call it) not a key from the inside. i have removed the screws and
removed the plate but can't get the lock cylinder to budge.  i see no other
screws to remove.  where do i go from here?

Answer
Hello Patty,

There are two black screws under the thumbturn piece that accept a flat head screwdriver.  Remove those and the outside assembly will come off.  Then remove the 2 screws on the door edge for the bolt mechanism and pull that out.
