We are having the same issue with our Schlage handleset and the problem is not with the deadbolt, it is with the doorknob handleset; It will not engage to open the door.  Does anyone have an answer to this issue?

Expertise

Define Locksmith:A licensed professional who cuts keys, rekeys lock cylinders, develops master-key systems, provides installation/removal/repairs of door hardware, sells door hardware, and provides lock-out services whose business is ran in a private facility.I currently have provided the commercial and residential industry with over 10+ years of my service, the types of locks I strictly service:Commercial Locks,Residential locks,Furniture Locks, and High-Security Cylinders. The only inquiries I don't have the answers to is the Safe and Automotive industry.I believe it a takes a special person to be a locksmith, you have to literally love locks in general to enjoy this job.I do not believe in strip-mall(public)locksmith shops selling painted keys,key-chains,key-rings,knick-knacks,and duplicating keys.Locksmithing is a service job not retail, and thier privacy is for security reasons.

Experience

My experience is mostly in older door hardware of the following manufacturers listed below: Amerock Arrow Corbin CCL(Corbin Cabinet Lock) Dexter(early 1960's-current) DOM Eagle Emhart ESP Harloc Hudson Ilco Illinois Kwikset Lori National Russwin Safe Door Hardware Sargent Schlage Sears Taylor Lock Weiser Weslock

Education/Credentials
Education in door hardware is 10+ years of experience

Past/Present Clients
My majority of customers is based primarily in the commercial industry while my inquiries/services for the residential industry are focused towards older/discontinued door hardware.
