Goodmorning, you helped a guy back in 2009 with the below question. You gave him the directions on how to change the combination on the safe with the hand but mines has the key. How do you change these?

I have acquired a mosler safe it has a mosler BP800, according to the paper work, the locking drawer is locked but it is currently out of the cabinet can you assist me in resetting the combination so that i can have this working in the matter that it was intended for , the information that i have from the plate on the side of the drawer is . model: SFC-4, serial: 1451848, date mfgd: 5-86, government contract#: GS-OOf-76391, there is a small plate on the front with 1533507, stamped on it, if you would like pictures please let me know and i can send them to you, thank you for any help that you can give me in this matter

Mosler did NOT have a lock model "BP800", this was probably one of the numbers on the UL label on the lock.
Generally on the GSA containers the lock that would have been installed was a Mosler 302-402.   These locks came in both hand change and key change.   The hand change may actually have a back cover with the change key hole, but the wheels are hand change.

Bottom line, I will need to see WHAT lock you have so that I can ensure that we are talking apples and apples, not apples and tomatoes!

Send photos of the lock to me at:, and I'll see what I can come up with.
