QUESTION: Dear sir, 1 inherited a safe from my late grandmother.

It is an Eagle Brand Stand up combination safe.  Dimensions from front are 1 feet 8 inches wide X 1 feet 7 inches X 2 feet 4 inches tall without the casters included.

based on enclosed photo, could you adv on this safe? manufacturer? any idea years of manufacturing? I don't have key to it and I am thinking if manufacturer still in business, they can give me clue on how to open it.

ANSWER: Hello TC Lim,

Your safe is European probably English from the late 1800's.    However European safes and their histories are not my specialty.

Sorry but the manufacturer of this business is no longer in business, so contacting "THEM" for replacement keys is NOT going to happen - unless you have a time machine in your garage.

Fortunately you have an expert in your area that DOES specialize in this style of safes.
