Question
I have a Corbin Russwin morise lock. The outside Knob and spindle is  Part # 689F2 for 1-3/4" The knob hits the storm door,
is there a knob that I can put on that is 3/8" shorter, also can I put a Lever knob on?
Can I grind 3/8" off existing knob?
Thank You
Ed

Answer
What shape is the current knob?

Can you post a pic?

Most knobs are hollow and cannot be ground that much.

How old is the lock?

YOu usually can't convert the old knob locks to new lever style locks.

Have you looked at the current Corbin Russwin catalogs to see what shapes are available?
