|Comment||Thank you Andy for the speedy response. You truly are a expert sir. I was amazed at the amount of information one can get from a safe, vault. As stated the gentlemens Father passed away years ago sudenly and only he knew the combination. It is closed but the dial and handle seem to move freely. There is no rust on it and it still has the original finish. I will take the photos, model, and serial number. I will see what type of paper work the gentlemen has with it. He is in his 70s now and it has been in his home for over 60 years as his father brought it home with him when he closed his buisness here in Toronto decades ago. He has sold his home and asked me if I would like it. The only catch... Moving it!!! When I forward you the information maybe we can do a small featurete on decoding the type and opening it for your readers. The gentlemen asures me there are articles in it, because his father would not allow anyone in the room when he opened it, not even his Wife!!! There is no damage and it has gold face lettering bellow the handle and combination. I only had a quick glance at it and thought I saw Dominion on it but he insistid it is Wells Fargo. I will forward all photos and info, serial#, and measurements to you this weekend. Please feel free to e mail me if you would like more info or talk. One thing for sure I tried to move it and it is very, heavy. It does not have wheels but four large stuby legs. Thank you again for your time and expertise.|
