Question
Hello Sir,

I,Prasanth Manghat pursuing PGDM from Siva Sivani Institute Of Management in operations and finance is passionate to start my career in operations.I am a B.tech graduate in Mechanical engineering.Sir, please tell me the areas which I can opt for my career in operations. Also please indicate about  courses Which I can do in operations.

Answer
hi Prasanth

I suggest you join any manufacturer since u have a basic mechnanical degree. But since u have an MBA degree you be taken at a supervisor level. You can join FMCG, Automotive, Machinery & Parts Manufacturers. Thus depends on the opportunity you get. Just be open to take up a role in any Manufacturing firm.

Try to join CPIM from APICS, USA. I strongly recommend you this course since it gives a very good foothold over your operations knowledge & thinking. You can do it through their Indian presence which is IMRMI, Mumbai

hope i have answered your question
