Question
Hello I have been in retail management for the last six years mostly deal with food and retail goods. I am very interest in logistics and going into a global logistics program offered at cal state long beach in california. It is global logistics specialist program. Is that a good program to start off with. I am also a military vet who is 38. I have been taken course on logistics and business analysis though online course offered by the army also. What is the job out look for some one like myself. Were should I start. I thank you for any help you can offer.

Answer
Mikel.  This is a great field to be in if you like a challenge every day.
My best recommendation at this stage is to look at all of the career and education related material on the CSCMP website.  Here are the links:
http://cscmp.org/career/career-lp.asp
http://cscmp.org/education/education-lp.asp
Hope this is helpful.
Jim
