Lois & Clark - Why Tracy (Cat) Scoggins left the show?

Expert: ROCilin - 12/27/2000

Question
Why did Tracy (Cat) Scoggins left the show after the first season?

In my science-fiction club, I told the other members I thought it was because Teri Hatcher didn't like her to steal each scenes she was in, so Hatcher managed to have Scoggins fired. They all told me it couldn't be the case, it was too "wrong".

I would like to know the real reason.

Answer
The main reason Tracy Scroggins was fired was because the network felt that she made the show too "adultish." ABC wanted a family-oriented show during the timeslot, and the character of Cat was too racy for what the network had planned.

Hope this helps!
