Question so my girlfriend has just recently went off to college at central michigan. In which i am currently still in grand rapids, MI. my question is what do i do to get this girl back. we were together for 8 months before and i gained to love her so much..we were perfect for each other and had the greatest times just hanging out and being lazy. The first week she went up there was ok but began to become weird. Then the second week we bagan to fight for who knows what..we both do not know what we were fighting about. But by the end of the second week of college she broke things off..because she wanted to salvage anything we had and by her words "freeze time" for a while. She pretty much told me that she fell in love with college more than she did with me..therefore not speaking to me as much and not even calling anymore. I havent spoken to her in 2 weeks and now she is trying to write to me and text me now. But i have been ignoring her. I also told her that i could not be her friend at this momment because a girl that i loved soo much had just walked out on me and it would be hard to be her friend at this momment. So i am trying to give myself some time to break away from what we had and try to not think about her as much. I miss her to death and i still love her with all my heart. Just her little cute smile gets me all the time. So im asking what i should do to one day be with this girl that i love. And what should i do in the mean time?? i am really lost right now and dont know what to do. :(
Answer happens all the time--college changes everything; all you can do is respect her decision, and resist all suggestion of friendship until some future time after you've become totally neutral toward her..your only chance would be if down the line she had a change of heart, realizing she made a mistake, but i wouldn't be expecting it; instead, it's time to consider this HER loss, not be bitter, accept reality, refocus on YOUR life, meeting/dating others--right now it may feel like u lost the only girl in the world for you, but trust me, she's not, and in time you'll realize it..
