What year did the Lakers come to  LA and where can I find a picture of that team?

Hi Dennis- I'm still stinging from that loss last night.

The Lakers moved to LA in 1960.  Where to find a picture?  Good question.  There is an Encyclopedia of The Lakers that was published by the LA Times just a few years ago, maybe 5, but I think it's out of print.  You might be able to acess it in the local library depending on where you live.  But I'm not sure there is a picture there.  There is a new LA Lakers History on DVD out and it's pretty awesome.  5 double sided disks for $50. (at Amazon.com).  It contains some great stuff from all eras of LA Laker history including complete games from the '72, '80 & '85 finals.  I think there is about 22 hours of content.  It's incredible.  You might see some pictures or footage of the first LA team there.  It's worth having if you're a fan.
