About Courtney Floyd
Expertise
Every girl at some point in her life has the desire to "Lose her virginity". My wish is that I can answer any questions they might have about the experience. I can answer any question I am given, but how much advice I can put into that question will depend on the question itself.

Experience
I am a woman who went through a very unique "loss of virginity" and I have advised three of my younger siblings on their virginity loss and what to expect, what is okay, and what they probably should avoid.

Education/Credentials
I am a high school graduate. I also have some college credits and too much free time.

Losing Your Virginity - bleeding?

Expert: Courtney Floyd - 3/31/2009

Question
Okay, so im 15, and me and my bf are both ready for sex. only problem is, im embarassed to bleed :s He's not a virgin, and we've talked about this before, and he says its okay if i do, but i'll still be embarassed :(  Is there any guarantee that i will bleed? :s

Answer
Well assuming you've thought this through and you know you're ready for sex, you have to understand it is VERY natural for some spotting to moderate bleeding after losing your virinity. It's not something to be embarassed about at all! I promise you a time will come when your boyfriend and you will discuss having sex during your period also. It's messy but it's also natural. There is a chance you will bleed during the sex but sometimes it happens just after. It just depends on you. But the bleeding won't be bad. It's not like he will pull out and be covered in your blood. You probably won't even notice until you go to the bathroom! Anyway. Be comfortable and calm. Losing your virginity will be a LOT more comfortable if you're relaxed and just let things happen. :) Good Luck! And be safe! Use a condom!
